Preparing for summer short!
It’s been a long process but we are preparing for our Webseries, “I Was Here”. Behind production of this film is CreativeDuet, a Miami based company. At CreativeDuet, we love to create videos of any kind, we specialize in various forms of productions. We strive for entertain, inspire and collaborate with great individuals. I.Was.Here is our most ambitious and largest narrative production to date. It’s getting close to the start of shooting this film. Everybody is super exited as we have worked so hard for this project. Fights and parkour scenes are getting polished to bring intense action to your screen.
Signed on as assistant director is Kally Khourshid, a professional multi-faceted artist whose experience includes acting, directing, coaching, and choreography. She is currently choreographing “Showtune” and “Sweeney Todd” for FAU’s Summer Rep program. With an A.A. Theatre degree from IRSC and additional studies done at FAU, she will continue pursuing her B.A. Theatre degree at UCF this fall.
Liana Harris is on the leading role as Kaia. She is an experienced gymnastic athlete with several medals on her wall. She has been training super hard with Rey in martial arts for over five months to bring some furious levels to each scene. She has studied acting in London for three years, including one year at Roofs Theatre School.
Roybert Rey is our martial arts expert and is part of the cast, portraying Captain Adrien Renoir. With Tae Kwon Do (3rd black belt), Muay Thai, Filipino Kali and Brazilian Jui Jitsu under his repertoire, he has created stunning fighting choreographs for previous works and, of course, for this film.

Our awesome team at Parkour Crusade, with three years of experience, have been training Rey and Liana in Parkour and Freerunning. Did you like Casino Royal, the very first scene? Well, then you will love this. They’ve been around since 2008 and are affiliated to the World Freerunning Parkour Federation. They have an academy in Cutler Ridge, Miami but they train everywhere.
Quasheery Ahmed plays one of the rebels. He’s trained in Judo for 5 years and different types of combat with the Marine Corps for 6 years. He is currently pursuing an acting career at Florida Atlantic University.
Francisco Carreño is our Script Supervisor and has been graciously helping us to bring our script to a new exiting levels. He is also giving us a hand with our website content. This actor and writer is currently finishing his double career at Florida Atlantic University. But this didn’t stop him from sending short stories to festivals and collaborating with projects outside his learning institution.
Nikki Buttery, playing Dale’s wife, has starred a handful of student films and has been part of many theatre projects.
