On December 22 2012, HRH marketing alongside with ONE Records and keepdapartygoing.com will host the fifth annual GIFT; a fundraising all-inclusive charity event. This means you pay one price and that includes your admission, food, drinks and entertainment. Our goal this year is to donate $500,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida. GIFT is an annual charity event which started in 2005 as a onetime experiment. This is an event that helps raise money for kids during the holiday season. The concept was to simply “GIFT” by donating money to a charity and we provide you with entertainment and prizes. We raffled gifts over the years such as X-Box, PS3, Victoria’s Secret gift card and many more. We have had support over the years from such organizations as WWE, Triple Threat Fit and Fyetune.
Patrick Leys (age 32) the founder of GIFT, was influenced by his father Richard Leys (62) who gives back to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on a weekly basis. Patrick’s nephew Antonio Diaz (7) was born very premature at 23 weeks. He was born with a bleed in the brain called hydrocephalus which led him to having Cerebral Palsy; he has had about 10 surgeries since birth (2005). His niece Melody Baptiste (1) has had a total of 4 major surgeries including one open heart, and his cousin Paolo Anthony Meo (19) had Wilms Tumor and was a Make a Wish kid. Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida granted his wish to Disney World when he was 8 years old.
Over the past four years, GIFT has brought together thousands of partygoers who have donated over $30,000 in monetary and in-kind donations to organizations for charity due to the Caribbean fan base in south Florida. This year our goals sums up in one word – “MORE.” It started out with 300 people in a small venue and grew to over 2,000 people, which lead the event to move to a bigger venue. This year the key word is MORE. MORE people, MORE entertainment, MORE food, MORE drinks, MORE prizes, MORE support.
The charity we are supporting this year is the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida. In 2011, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida granted the wishes of 537 special children in our community. In 2012, HRH Marketing LLC wants to add to that and grant 100 more wishes, but we need your help.
This year we are providing an all-inclusive charity event with 3 segments, 2 stages and 1 great night. Team GIFT has one thing on their mind, and that is giving the people MORE than what they paid for. “Help Grant 100 Wishes.”
GIFT 2012 will take place at one of Miami’s most recognized venues for Caribbean events. The evening will commence at 7pm with an invitation only cocktail reception catered by Chef Steve Paret as well as a silent auction and live entertainment. General admission for the main celebration begins at 11pm and features live entertainment from renowned Caribbean and hip-hop and pop artists along with Miami’s top DJs giving you their very best performances till 5am.VIP and the first 100 guests will receive gift bags full of sponsor merchandise and promotional items. All attendees will have the chance to enter to win prizes this year.
